T-Mode: safely bypassing ledges and canal blockages
T-Mode is the exclusive function developed by Japanese endodontist Dr Yoshi Terauchi to tackle one of the most delicate challenges in canal preparation: ledges and blockages. The protocol combines two consecutive phases activated with a single button:
In the first phase (SGP - Safe Glide Path), the motor performs a "watch-winding" motion with equal forward and reverse angles, at low speed and adjustable torque (100-2,500 rpm), allowing the file to advance safely until it passes the obstruction. Pressing the button again, without withdrawing the file, automatically activates the configured second phase (Normal, Reciprocating or ATR), which smooths out the ledge with full-rotation preparation. The result: blockages resolved without withdrawing the instrument and without switching modes manually.
Active apical safety
Integrated apex locator with auto start and apical stop
The Ai-Motor integrates a 16-step apex locator directly into the OLED display, eliminating the need for a separate device. The progress bar shows the position of the file in the canal in real time and also lets you set a custom manual reference point.
Safety is comprehensive and automatic: the motor starts when the file enters the canal and stops when it is withdrawn (auto start/stop); it automatically slows down when approaching a narrow or curved apex; and it reverses and stops on reaching the apical constriction, preventing perforations and over-instrumentation without any input from the clinician.
6:1 mini contra-angle
Ultra-compact 8 mm head, OLED display and wireless charging
The 6:1 mini contra-angle features a head measuring just 8.0 mm in diameter and 9.7 mm in height, with 360-degree rotation. The reduced size widens the field of view and makes it easier to access molars and posterior areas, especially when working with a microscope. It is detachable and autoclavable.
The OLED display shows speed, torque, the active programme and apex locator status clearly and intuitively. The automatic torque calibration function ensures a consistent response regardless of battery wear. Charging is fully wireless, with a 2,000 mAh battery and charging base included. Warranty: 24 months for the motor and handpiece, 12 months for the contra-angle.
